A. Redford Rye Whiskey

A. Redford Rye Whiskey is a budget-friendly, entry-level spirit.

Flavor Profile: It features a complex flavor profile spanning sweet, smooth, smoky, and robust notes. Charred new oak barrels soften its natural peppery grain kick with undertones of vanilla and fruit. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Appalachian Gap Drumlin Champlain Rye

Appalachian Gap Distillery starts with a mash of 100% rye — no barley, no other grains — which is a little extra work but results in stronger, more vibrant flavor. Double distilled, it is then aged in new American oak barrels for at least three years. They make just a dozen barrels a year.

Nose: Citrus, raisins, caramel, spice, a hint of vanilla.

Palate: Hints of toffee, notes of dark fruit, stone fruit, pepper, rye bread, spices and cinnamon. Quite a bit of heat from the high proof, but it is a clean heat. Finish is fruity and earthy with a hint of smoke, and a lingering and smooth finish.

Gunpowder Rye Whiskey

Gunpowder Rye Whiskey is named for the Gunpowder River in northeastern Maryland, the location of the post-Prohibition family distillery. Gunpowder is a spicy Maryland style rye, distilled from rye and malted barley and matured in new American oak barrels. This whiskey enters with flavors of rye grain and cinnamon, builds with baking spice, clove, and sassafras and finishes with toasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, and vanilla.
